A day in the life of SK2...
6am - wake up.
6:01am - coffee. Always coffee. More coffee.
7am - meet at the shop (SK2 offices) in St. Jean. Leave for a video marketing seminar in Winnipeg.
8am - marketing seminar starts.
9am - more learning about video and it's use on social media.
10:30am - seminar wraps up.
10:35am - meet client for breakfast (thanks for being a trooper and making the quartz countertop decision Jackie!).
11:00am - leave Winnipeg.
12:00 - back at the shop, pack laptop, files, and samples.
12:15 - head south for Minot, ND.
5:30 - meet new potential clients at Cenex station, follow them to their build site south of Minot.
5:45 - review site, look at location for new home (beautiful site, this house is going to fit the property perfectly!).
6:00 - follow customers back to their current home.
6:01 - the fun begins! Discussions about floorplan changes, review conceptual 3D drawings, talk about options, flooring, kitchen design, 2nd floor layout, and how the process works.
7:45 - Get to know each other! Put up with barrage of comments about our strong Canadian accents, try to come up with witty replies about how our country is bigger...
8:00 - Call Jackie, ask her to talk to new clients about the home building process and what it's like to deal with SK2 and how the SK2 Experience feels from a customer perspective (thanks Jackie!).
8:45 - wrap up kickass meeting and head for home.
12:21 - write blog post while Steve drives.
We often get asked what sets us apart from our competitors. I think this tells the story. We care. We aren't afraid to put in a long day to meet with a client because that's the one day that works for them. Serving our clients and adding value in every aspect of the build is what we focus on. Our goal is to build relationships with our clients, and in our business that often means we end up crossing provincial (& international) borders.
Why do customers hire us when we are 4-6 hours away from them?
I guess you'd have to ask our clients. ☺
