This chalet style, open concept home features 100 year old timbers reclaimed from the family cabin. The beautiful light fixtures, stair railing and fireplace mantle made from the wood offers an added comfort to this spacious build.

The Perfect Floorplan
We worked with the Benningtons to create their perfect floorplan. Their wanted a spacious, open main living area and kitchen, mudroom, walk-in closet and multiple bathrooms.
Spacious Mudroom
One thing the Benningtons wanted was a large mudroom with a sink and plenty of storage space. A custom bench was added to this simple, but effective layout. The mudroom is one of the most important rooms for a farming family, so we had to get this room to work!

Walk-In Pantry
The kitchen features a large walk-in pantry with plenty of shelf space! Farm families like to stock up, and this pantry definitely makes that easier!
Reclaimed Wood Light Fixture
The family cabin provided the perfect materials for this custom hanging light fixture.

Separate from the tub, the spacious shower features a beautiful stone shelf and floor.

The Benningtons wanted to incorporate some family history into their new home, so we added a number of feature pieces built from reclaimed timber from the family cabin.

SK2 helped us come up with a plan that was just right for us. Everyone was always very helpful and willing to work through our many changes, and they took our ideas and made them happen! They made some awesome custom pieces out of logs from our cabin, and the stones on the fireplace look amazing. Watching our house come down the road was pretty exciting. It was a great experience working with everyone at SK2!
