The Midgardens were ready to build a new home on a beautiful 13 acre lot just outside of town - surrounded by oak trees, with a view of the river. With a young family, they needed room for toys, and a common great room to entertain. A cookie cutter plan wasn’t going to cut it - we had to custom design!
We loved that we could walk through several SK2 custom homes and get ideas for ours!
During our building process with SK2, we always felt informed on both the progress of our house and where we were financially with the build. Our favorite part of the process was being given so many options that through the relationships we had with the builders, they were able to tailor to match our style. The Midgardens - Park River, North Dakota
The Kringstads were referred to us by friends of theirs - word of mouth is the best advertising! Being busy parents and business owners, they didn’t have time to chase tradespeople or supervise an entire build...we stepped in to help!
We couldn’t believe it, Kevin actually came to our lot to make sure the house would fit!
Friends of ours had built with SK2 a year before, and they loved their home. This made our search for a builder quite a bit easier! We toured several custom homes on the SK2 yard and went home with a ton of ideas, and good feeling for what we liked & didn't like. After a month or so of design, we had our custom home plan well underway. The SK2 team helped us with everything from selections, to where to place the house on the lot, to answering our trades' questions after the house was delivered. They even made sure we had matching material so we could build the garage to match the house. We loved the design/build process with SK2!The Kringstads - Park River, North Dakota
Brandon found himself in a unique situation - his house had just burnt down (he was ok!), and he couldn't find a builder to work with to rebuild the 100+ year old home he'd worked so hard at renovating. To be honest, we don't love dealing with insurance work, but we saw this as an opportunity to help someone in need!
SK2 transformed the worst part of my life into one of the happiest!
My home burned down a few years ago. This was the lowest part of my life, losing all my possessions and the home being a complete loss. SK2 was there during my most vulnerable time. They take a collaborative approach, which makes you feel valued every step of the process. SK2 invests in you beyond just being a customer, they want to get to know you and your story in order to make your dream home possible. They were excited to hear my ideas and welcomed my designs. You won’t get a cookie cutter house from SK2. They want to see your personality in the space. You can expect high communication, pristine quality, and a kick ass team from SK2. By the end, you will feel part of the SK2 family. Thank you SK2!Branden DeFoort
This open concept home with classic country finishes includes 3 bedrooms and a granny suite, beadboard cabinets and a large island for entertaining!
We knew we wanted a home build with quality and character that would stand the test of time, protect our family, and reflect our rustic style.
From the moment we sat down with Kevin he treated us like a friend. He showed us their past and current work, explained the process working across the border, and gave us free reign to design exactly what we wanted. After about 20 hand drawn floor plans SK2 made our vision into a blueprint. We were able to source down any finish we wanted, from floors to shower tile. They even made a custom dining chandelier when we couldn’t find anything we liked on the market. We are very thankful for the experience working with Kevin and SK2, and for our forever home on the farm! The Goodoiens - Cavalier, North Dakota
This chalet style, open concept home features 100 year old timbers reclaimed from the family cabin. The beautiful light fixtures, stair railing and fireplace mantle made from the wood offers an added comfort to this spacious build.
Watching our house come down the road was pretty exciting. It was a great experience working with everyone at SK2!
SK2 helped us come up with a plan that was just right for us. Everyone was always very helpful and willing to work through our many changes, and they took our ideas and made them happen! They made some awesome custom pieces out of logs from our cabin, and the stones on the fireplace look amazing. Watching our house come down the road was pretty exciting. It was a great experience working with everyone at SK2!The Benningtons - Park River, North Dakota

We built this house during lockdowns and pandemics and still managed to get our dream house. We were treated like family by absolutely everyone in the company!
The entire process from when we started talking to Kevin 3 years before we actually started building, through to final delivery, was made incredibly easy. We built this house during lockdowns and pandemics and still managed to get our dream house. We were treated like family by absolutely everyone in the company. These guys are great at what they do, and even better people! If you have been looking for a RTM home builder, join the SK2 family because that is truly what it is. The only complaint we have is that we no longer get to chat with them everyday! The Fords - Wawota, Saskatchewan
This custom farm home was built with a finished basement, angled attached garage and modern farmhouse finishes.
We loved that the SK2 team were excited about our ideas for our new home and took our ideas to heart. The carpenter we worked with, and office staff, are top notch!
When we started the process of finding a company to build our home we knew we wanted a company that would take our ideas to heart. We found SK2 very interested and excited about our ideas for our new home, and were open and honest with their opinions and providing information to help guide our decisions. They are a hands on company stopping in to see how the work was coming along and not afraid to pick up a shovel or help out where needed. The carpenter we worked with and the office staff are top notch! The Friesens - Silberfeld, Manitoba

I wanted to write down the words to express how grateful we are to have done this building process with everyone at SK2.
I can honestly say from day one to present they have given us the most amazing professional experience. I never once felt stress or pressure, it was the smoothest process from start to finish. So many others talked about the battles they had while building a house and we most certainly had the opposite experience. The extra time taken on small or large details, questions or suggestions they never made us feel like an inconvenience. I don’t know how they keep everything so organized and straight with all the jobs they tackle but they do! and always made us feel like we were top priority.
Thank you to everyone on your team for making our house a beautiful reality, we hope to stay in touch with you in the future!
