The Way it Should Feel
Often conventional house blueprints can leave you feeling flat; it’s hard to envision your dream home when it’s simply lines on a paper. SK2 Custom Homes takes a different approach, utilizing strong builder/home owner relationships, custom finishes, and innovative design technology to create a pre-built home that’s vibrant, inviting, comforting, exactly how you’d imagined it.
ONSITE SCOPE OF WORK – WHAT IS REQUIRED WHEN BUILDING YOUR RTM HOME?
Building a custom RTM home doesn’t need to be stressful, and our goal is to guide you through it and keep it fun. So what's included in your new RTM home and what do you need to do to prepare?
As the biggest and most expensive thing you will purchase in your lifetime, deciding how and who will build your dream custom home is a big decision. One of the most important things we emphasize when deciding who to build your home is to work with someone you click with and understands your needs. You don’t want to work with someone who grinds your gears everytime you meet to discuss finishing details, you need someone who you can trust to give you the best recommendations for your family.
There may be a lot of questions about buying an RTM home compared to building on your lot, we understand! Here’s some info you need to know when you’re considering an RTM.
Why imagine what your dream home could look like when you can see it!
We take the guesswork out of one of the biggest experiences of your life, building your custom RTM home! You let us know about your requirements and style, we create the designs, and you see a visual representation of what your home will look like!
Have you ever looked at a regular set of 2D plans and felt a little uncertainty? A little doubt? That's exactly what we're trying to eliminate.
Conventional design techniques don't speak to the client - they don't show the client how the home will 'feel'.
We are currently working on sharing 360 renderings with our clients - these 360 views give you a much more realistic feel for your (yet to be built) home.
In an attempt to improve ourselves and our ability to give our clients an awesome experience, we have been learning a lot about gratitude lately.
This sums it up nicely;
"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, routine jobs into joy and ordinary opportunities into blessings."
- Peter J. Bone
Three weeks ago, one of our amazing clients (Lindsey) sent us a testimonial video to post on Facebook. Feeling grateful, I thought that gratitude would be a fitting theme for the post. A friend of Lindsey's (Janet Mann) teaches at Weldon School in Bienfait, SK. Janet saw our post, and commented that she wanted to show her class the video, because she wanted to show her kids how people were using gratitude to change the world.
It's hard to believe, but it's hockey season again!
The kids are back on the ice, we are putting on a ton of miles driving to practices, home & away games & tournaments, drinking questionable rink coffee, and buying hundreds of dollars of rink burgers and candy bags...this is what we live for!
You're probably wondering what hockey season has to do with building homes...hockey season is the perfect time to plan ahead for your upcoming build!
With that in mind, we have a great promo that will run for the next while;
Earlier this week Steve and I drove out to Weyburn to mark out some options for the basement location for Lindsey & Tyler's house (we are building their awesome 1451 sq. ft custom RTM home as we speak).
Weyburn is about 520 KMs one way from our office, so we had roughly 12 hours in the truck...one of the topics that kept coming up is how much fun we have with our clients. We talked about how our approach (build relationships first, and then build the home) is different, and why it works.
